The following
was sent in by Christopher Gallagher from Irvine, Scotland:
If you
have removed the front subframe without the engine from
the car and forgot to start the hub nuts one way to
lock the hubs is to turn the brake adjusters so the
brakes are locked on. This combined with a long extension
bar, blowlamp, lots of WD40, a sledge hammer and a few
choice words usually shifts them!
Not too
sure we agree with the last part, but the essence of
the method is sound!
