If you
are having battery problems on a cold dark night and
manage to crank
start the car (people still do it you know!) There is
a real possibility of
damaging the bottom of the radiator in your frustration.
If this happens
1) obtain a bottle of Radweld
2) get some water
3) get some chewing gum
Then: chew a load of gum until its sticky and jam it
into the hole in the
radiator. Fill the radiator, add the Radweld and gently
run up to operating
temperature. As the gum falls off, the hole will be
blocked with the Radweld
and you should be able to carry on your journey!
