Deconstruction - Axle removal

The following pictures show the 90 as it was being stripped.

I didn't bother spitting the taper joint on the rear axle A frame at this point. It was easier to remove the bolts.

To remove the entire axle assembly, I removed the radius arm nuts.

The chassis needed jacking up to free the axle. Make sure everything is chocked safely!

The rear axle could then be rolled out.

This was a quality vehicle I'd bought...... different bushes left and right!!

The steering damper had been recently replaced, so it will be used.

Front axle - splitting the joints.

Undoing the bottom of the front shocks. These can be a pain of a job, but they had been replaced recently so came out easily.

The shock towers were removed to allow the dampers to be removed from the top.

I was on my own removing the axles, so with safety in mind I used the engine crane to lift the chassis.

The front axle was rolled out complete.
