Deconstruction - Front Body

The following pictures show the 90 as it was being stripped.

The coolant had to be drained ready for the front end to come off.

The radiator turned out to be way beyond use! The 90 had a habit of running hot at speed.... no wonder really!

Michael removing the front panel.

Many of the bolts were in poor condition and despite oiling, many snapped when we attempted to remove them.

The nearside wing came off after much heaving of bolts. Again, many snapped.
We also learnt that you need to take the 'eyebrow' arch off first. This gives easy access to the bolts holding the wing to the hinge pillar.

Offside wing off. Easier when you've already done one!

Pedal boxes came out easily.

The offsideof the bulkhead was previously 'repaired' with a bit of old tin can held on with self tapping screws!

Inside the nearside of the bulkhead. Pretty scabby.

The bulkhead was very rusty on both sides at the top. The footwells were actually very good, but it was too bad to bother repairing. I managed to obtain a new TD5 one which is reasonably easy to convert. This will be covered in a later section.
