b'Started in 1993 by Dave Senior and Steve Nash, DSN Classics was set up to provide a specialist retail and trade parts service to the Mini & Morris Minor market. In 1997 our website was launched, making DSN Classics one of the first to provide full e-commerce in the industry. On the 1st January 2005, DSN Classics became a Limited com-pany.Both Dave and Steve had been design engineers at Lotus, and felt that they had something to offer the Mini market with their ability to design stylish components that conveyed an engineered sporting feel. They soon discovered that to be able to supply these products at an affordable price it was going to be necessary to invest in a manufacturing capability themselves. This led to the purchase of a CNC mill and in 2008 the RetroSport range was born. The designs became so popular that 3 further machines have been added to the workshop to keep up with the demand. The RetroSport range continues to grow as new products are developed. In November 2015 founding partner Steve stood down and was succeeded by Daves son James, making it a family owned business. DSN combined with Jamess business, S-CAN, a well-established 3D scanning bureau, in March 2016. This has added 3D scanning, 3D printing and laser marking to the growing range of services and capabilities the company is able to offer. In March 2019 another major development took place when sales of standard Mini and Minor parts were stopped to allow the engineering side of the business to take priority. This was further reinforced in July 2019 when the company was renamed as S-CAN 3D Ltd. We have now added sales of 3D printers and consumables, and 3D scanners to compliment our range of engineering services.'
