Founded in 2012, S-CAN 3D Ltd and is a leading force in providing 3D Scanning, Reverse Engineering and Inspection services in the UK and abroad. S-FIX components provide a comprehensive set of mounting and jigging options for the 3D Scanning and Portable CMM market.


S-CAN grew from a successful manufacturing company when the requirement for 3D scanning became too great. Between the team is 50 years’ mechanical design and manufacturing experience. S-CAN offers a professional and personal service to individuals and organisations alike. Their client list includes foundries, car manufacturers, airlines, historical preservation trusts as well as many private individuals.

S-CAN boasts leading equipment and software from the likes of Faro, Artec, 3D Systems, Geomagic and ANSYS. Size and complexity of objects are not a problem: they have scanned and modelled everything from small widgets and figurines to yachts and aeroplanes. S-CAN’s speciality is in reverse engineering and re-manufacturing cast and machined components, but it is rare to find a project which falls outside their capabilities.

Also on offer at S-CAN is 3D printing, CNC milling and turning capabilities, organic laser cutting and organic and metallic laser marking. Close industry links mean S-CAN can often offer end to end processes using other trusted services providers.



S-FIX is a growing range of precision 3D Scanning and Portable CMM accessories. It is designed and manufactured in-house by experienced everyday users. The range provides a real breakthrough in offering application specific, quality and affordable components.

All products have been designed and tested around the principles of offering additional accessibility both above and below a component, while countering the added forces acquired when using a CMM by hand.

The S-FIX range includes a variety of different tripods and mounting options; a series of fixturing tables; an ever-expanding fixturing and hold down system; a line of probes for portable CMM’s and various leapfrog options.
